Capital CampaignYour Library has run out of room for new books and other materials. Since 2000 architects working with the Library staff have developed a plan for expansion. Today, the Building Committee is seeking contributions from foundations, government sources, and patrons to make that plan a reality. Patrons will benefit from the expanded build with full handicapped access, a larger collection, more Internet access, and improved services. The community will benefit from a larger meeting room that will be available 24 hours a day (instead of just during Library hours) and a beautiful restored and improved building in the heart of the hamlet. For updated information on the Library building plans, go the Library blog. You may also ask anyone at the Library desk to add your email address to our electronic newsletter list. You can help by donating or pledging to the Building Fund at the Community Foundation of Dutchess County. You can donate online (be sure in the form to enter "Pleasant Valley Library Building Fund" under "Fund Name") by clicking here. You may also send a check made out to The Community Foundation with "Pleasant Valley Building Fund" in the memo line. Checks may be addressed either to: Community Foundation of Dutchess County |
